It really looks the part too. A cracking feature in any kitchen. In the future I'd love to set up a beer engine in my kitchen. I'd have the beer in a polypin which would be kept in a mini fridge hidden in the cupboard closest to the beer engine. Where did you get your beer engine?

When the kitchen is finished, i hope to do similar, and i plan to make it a permanent fixture :)

I cant remember where it came from, possibly a car boot sale years ago... I know it only cost me pennies ... And it polished up well =D>

Yes, simple as that, just pour a 2L pet bottle of my beer of choice into it and away I go :)

Hey millemg

Doesn't the 5l bottle collapse/crush as you draw the beer off?
That really looks so simple and I WANT ONE =D>

Cheers Tom

No, the pipe goes through an adapted lid with a plumbing fitting, I took the "o" ring out to allow air in as the beer is drawn off :)

Very simple, works perfectly every time

Do you clean the lines after every session?

Yes, I pump a few pints of clean water through straight after. I will also sanitise regularly.

Oh I've been looking already, don't you worry. Thanks anyway though :D

I'm a bit of a tight wad so the cheaper the better. Ahhhhh, just had a thought. My niece in Manchester has her own pub, I'll have a word with her :D
Oh yes, could be good this

Cheers Tom

I reckon there's more than a few of us been investigating this by now. And a new term coined, PIAB, superb
