I've stumbled upon a nice recipe. I say "stumbled" because I feel like I've had some bad luck as of late, turning out some substandard brews. This one, however, is quite nice:
Amber Malty Love Biscuit
11.5 l/7.5 l boil
227g Crystal malt
680g 2-row malt
1.4kg Pale DME
28g Cascade (5.5%AA) 60 min
28g Cascade 5 min
Safale s-04 yeast, ferment around 17C for a week; condition for 2 weeks in the bottle. Clear and tasty--malty with a nice hop bite.
Cheers!

Actually, this one's already been tasted. I like it quite a bit--a nice hop bite and toasty malty flavor.
The 2-row was American, but English 2 row would just make it better, I'd bet. It has a nice malty aroma and Maris Otter would work nicely with that. As for the partial mash, that it is. I just mash the crystal and 2row with a little water at 66c for 45 minutes, then sparge with twice as much 70c water.
The s-04 is a thing of beauty as well. This fermented out completely and was clear after 3 days. Bottled from the primary and it's beautiful.
