Hi Barneey,

I brought the finished board and starter pack of components from Earthshine. Buoyed the fact that it all works OK I'm planning to build my own circut and have the main board free to tinker with other projects.

Cheers,
Jamie

Good man! If my experience is anything to go by they'll be lots of frustration, lots of peeing of the missus on getting into bed at 1am after hacking all night and periods immense satisfaction when you get it actually doing what you want it to do!!

Cheers,
Jamie

Yep looking forward to having a play with the electronics side of things, I think I have everything to complete my build including the temp sensors, a couple of pids, brew pots + herms pot already built and ready for automation. (I do have a spare ss herms coil if anyones interested). Just need a suitable case to put them in and start reading up on how to program (or copy and paste ;) )

Cheers

All it a bit more tidier now, just need some dymo labels when I find my label writer:

Still a bit more tweaking of the code to be done, and I need to get my head round programming in steped mash schedules...

Cheers,
Jamie

This looks great, the sort of thing that I aspire to when I have more space!

For the minute I'm thinking of making a kettle based herms to have a play around with, and to that end I might be very interested in that spare SS coil barneey. How big is it?
