There are no DIN SSR as far as i know, but that would be a good idea!

I bought most of the parts from rapid electronics, conrad and took what was left in my tool box!
The 2 transformers+5v power supplies arevto feed the voltmeter and the ampmeter.
Cutting the panel was not too bad, q-max cutters for all the round holes...

The pids and SSRs are from auber instruments. I wonder how the DIN SSR cool down? Via the rail?

Hi all,

I decided to build my new brewery largely based on Kal's "the electric brewery", with a few differences:
- Limited Budget
- Location (240V standard)
- I always brew outside (I live in a rented house)
- The electric circuit in my house is limited... (Will be using a 3kw element)
- I am using 12V variable speed pumps (solar project)

Despite all the points above, it is fairly easy to convert Kal's design to fit with my requirements.

If you dont mind me asking how much did the control panel set you back?

I'll have to check all my receipts, I kind of started the project way back and slowly accumulated all the parts... I also used a lot of second hand parts. I am thinking roughly below the £400 mark.

I`m in the process of pricing a build option, could anyone recommend any reasonably priced twist lock plugs for main voltage.

Hi Barneey, I've not used them but themadhippy recommended these powercon connectors, not sure how much they cost.

another vote for powercons,the new powercon true1 overcomes many of the niggles of the origanal powercon,cost about a fiver for cable connectors and £3 for panel mounts

Thanks for the links guys, only one thing I cant seem to find (they dont manufacture? ) a single female panel mount only a NAC3PX double?

NAC3FPX is a single outlet,NAC3MPX is a single inlet and NAC3PX is a combined outlet and inlet,more at http://www.neutrik.com/en/industrial/po ... con-true1/
there pretty new on the market so stocks are still a bit scarce
