Either that or the money box method, every time you take a pint, 50p in the money jar, when the jars full = no more beer, but enough funds to buy more ingredients.

Hops, cider pips & hello.

Once you have got 30 lewd drawings on the paper you know it's empty!

Haha! Beer inspired art, I could be up for the Turner Prize and sell them for £squillionsTotem wrote:Once you have got 30 lewd drawings on the paper you know it's empty!

Thinking about it, I could add some linear actuators linked to a coin slot that releases the beer lines allowing a pint to be poured...JabbA wrote:Now that idea I like!barneey wrote: Either that or the money box method, every time you take a pint, 50p in the money jar, when the jars full = no more beer, but enough funds to buy more ingredients.

More progress today and the first pint poured
A bit of beer and gas line spaghetti! It's a bit of a squeeze getting kegs two high and the lines need a bit of rearranging to make it work properly.

Two very different beers on tap! I'm thinking of a piece of 6mm MDF painted with blackboard paint and magnets glued on the back would be nicer than masking tape.

The first pint of my MO / Citra beer. Not the clearest after moving the keg around but it tastes bloody nice

Cheers,
Jamie

Re: New kegerator build
Does look a bit of a squeeze, would 4 kegs fit in all at the same level on a shelf? This is how mine is arranged, though I did have to cut some mouldings off the door to get it to shut.
In or near Norwich? Interested in meeting up monthly to talk and drink beer? PM me for details.
Re: New kegerator build
Nope! The fridge is only 1.4m high and there's no room for a shelf between them!

Jamie

Why stop there, connect the whole system up to a MAME unit, no pints released until the next level is completed, 50p a game

Whoops, sorry Keith, I misread your postkeith1664 wrote:I meant all 4 on the shelf, like this.

The back of the fridge is quite deep, so they wont fit unless, like you say, quite a bit is hacked out of the door. I'll have another measure and see if it's feasible, it's certainly not ideal at the moment

Jamie

Re: New kegerator build
S'ok, on mine I just had to cut off the mouldings on the door that the drinks/egg shelves mounted on. The plastic wasn't that thick so they came off with a stanley knife. It'd certainly make connecting/disconnecting and swapping kegs easier.JabbA wrote:Whoops, sorry Keith, I misread your postkeith1664 wrote:I meant all 4 on the shelf, like this.![]()
