Strong Pale Ale Savour the flavour

5 kg Maris
28g Styrian \
24g Golden all 90 mins
40g Fuggles /
15g Golden 15 mins
90 min mash @ 68 was 65 at end

gravity in boiler was 58 in 25l (96% at this stage much slower sparginging helped 25-30 mins)

Look at the boil ... if Iwas not looking I would have been able to turn off the power before the boil over that triped the switches Doh!

And racked me first cornie too yeah what a day I think I'll have a chilled TC!

Nice one, looks like the Catering Services UK S/S mashtun works ok. :) How did you get on with it?

Yeah, how did the mash tun perform ?

I see you don't believe in hot side aeration problems :lol:

Mash tun was great bought a 1/4 to 3/8 reducer from BnQ that fitted the tap screw perfectly so could attach hose lock connect and my flase bottom A la Daab

The False bottom's a nice design

I'm contemplating getting the same mashtun in a 50L size. That should be plenty for big brews and parti gyles...and it's shiny :D
