Im just sick of waiting for lager to condition so am now looking for some quicker alternatives for between lager brews.
What would people suggest?
Kolsch i guess is out as that has to be conditioned same as lager, what about steam beer, not really come across that before. Would it be possible to brew an ale with lager malts and a clean yeast, if so what would you recommend.
I dont expect it to be a lager Im just after a clean, light refreshing summer drink that isnt overly aley (if that makes sense).
As always any feed back will be appreciated!

Possibly Summer Lightning or a Wheat Beer.
Re: Suggestions Please
An american Pale perchance, like an SNPA clone? Also a lager style beer fermented out with us-05 works out pretty well without all the hassle of lagering.

A lot of lagers can be fermented with nuetral ale yeast and turn out pretty good.
I'm just here for the beer.

+1 for the Scheihallion, i do that recipe quite a bit. I don't bother with lager yeast though as I've been lead to believe Harviestoun don't either, just use S04, think i used S33 last time and it turned out lovely!
