Finings or not

Hi there, Im ready to put a brew of Wherry into the pressure barrel, the finings I have at present are Kwik Clear (wine and beer)which I have never used before. Instructions say to add the required amount and 'stir well'. Should I be stirring the beer at this stage. In doubt, so unless anyone advises otherwise will not bother with the finings.
Many thanks.

WHen its been syphoned into a keg sitrring wont be so bad since most of the trub has been left behind and the remainder is already disolved in the liqor from siphoning.

I'm letting my Wherry in barrel drop in cool for three weeks after fermentation and first week in barrel in the warm, but I have finings (veg friendly ones) for forthcoming brews.

Daab reckons Wherry rarely drops bright anyway. After just one week in cool though, I can see it is at least trying hard.

I'm no expert but stirring after fermentation means gently, without splashing for fear of oxidation.

I agree with five tide in terms of 'stirring gently' you really dont want the beer to oxidise.

Ive not used finnings beer prefering to leave the beer to clear by itself..sometimes it does and sometimes it doesnt

I don't use finings. Personally I don't see the point...

I assume that you have powdered finings rather than liquid? Can you not dissolve in water and add this to your keg with your priming sugar? This way it should get nicely mixed in when you syphon onto it.
