73.62% Maris Otter Malt
20.54% Pilsner
2.92% Munich I
2.92% Torrified Wheat

1.4 g/L Citra (15% Alpha) @ 15 Minutes (Boil)
0.8 g/L Citra (15% Alpha) @ 5 Minutes (Boil)
1.8 g/L Citra (15% Alpha) @ 0 Minutes (Aroma)

For Pilsner I used the lager malt I have, and as for the actual amounts, I have them written somewhere but cant for the life of me find them! Ill have to work it out again for a 5gallon batch.

I laos used US-05 and have no problem with it not compacting in the bottles. Maybe though as i under primed there is less in them. Im tempted to pour all the bottle into my keg and carb up but I think I would be just asking for an infection.
I think that was my third brew, and still one of my favourites! Proud that someone else took it up, glad you like it! I might rebrew with a simpler malt bill and maybe some dry hopping...

What did the Northdown bring to the flavour or did you use them just for bittering?
I was thinking about chucking the full 100g of Citra in mine with just 5 mins left of the boil, should still give it a good amount of bittering, could be an interesting trial for a future brew :)

Yeah. The Northdown was just used for bittering. It was only brewed on 01-08 so I haven't tasted it yet. Infact, I don't think I have tasted anything remotely like it.

With 54g used as a steep you should be in for an interesting first sip :-)
When are you doing the one in that other thread? Looks like that'll be quite tasty too :-)

Citra works well late, I've just kegged one with around 180g all added in the last 15m and after end of boil - it smells like a newly openned bag of hops and the taste of the hops is wondeerful

I'm going to do that one as soon as I have a free FV. Maybe on Monday or Tuesday.

The taste isn't everyone's cup of tea but I love it. I've only got one pack left, I'll have to get an order in :D

You've got that right, I have tried a couple of commercial examples and thought that they tasted of cat p!ss :?

Obviously just not to my taste I suppose.

EDIT: Not that I drink cat p!ss, more the aroma reminded me of it

I had Brodies Citra at the weekend 3.8% and a very sharpe taste, slightly astringent. Whilst the convention is that blonde beers present these citrussy hops at their best they need some body or else the hop dominates in a bad way, some carapils or caragold is great to get round this. I'm also thinking that citra may be just as good in a blend. I,m drinking a citra and delta blend in a blonde with aromatic malt for added body, which is pretty good, but I reckon if I scale the aromatic back and add carapils to produce a less assertive malt and replace some of the delta with challenger the cascade like notes of the delta will be linked to the citra by the challenger, so that I'll add perhaps 50g of citra with 5m to boil end then cool a bit and chuck the rest of the bag in. I think that will present the citra nicely

All sounds very technical. I still have a lot to learn with regard to what flavours go better with what but experimentation is the only way I'm going to learn :)
