Vinegar/Bleach mixture

Does the sanitiser last longer than a regular bleach mix?

Do the hypochlorus acids break down in the same way as the hyporchlorite does?

The problem with this is that the proportions work in the US where the strength of bleach and vinegar are standard (I am led to believe).

In the UK it's much harder to find out how strong your bleach actually is. There was a thread where someone emailed the manufacturers to find out, but that information could well be out of date by now.

Hello Invalid Stout,

My understanding is the the bleach is more effective in a liquid with PH below 6 or 7 (re Brewers Contact Magazine). I have not tried to make the liquid "no rinse", With a content of 80ppm.

I have aimed for 150PPM and acidified the water in order to make the bleach more effective as a Biocide sterilizer, I just wondered if it lasted longer than a regular bleach make up?

I did find the thread where various supermarket bleach is explored and very useful it was. the concentrations were still the same on the Asda SP and Morrisons Saver, so it was easy to calculate quantities.
I could acidify to any given PH using Phosphoric but thats a bit beyond me at the moment.
