Almost ready to go...

Well, I hope I never have to pick up a hacksaw again, but my coolbox mash tun is finally made so I'm ready for an all-grain brew. Now all I need is to choose a recipe and find a few days when the weather forecast means I can keep the fermentation temperatures down...

I just tested it and with water the temperature dropped from 41 to 40 in an hour, so with some blankets it should do the job fine :)

Thanks for the messages guys.

Having spent the last hour enjoying a bottle of Hobgoblin, I think I have a winner for my first AG recipe - a Hobgoblin clone! A very fine beer. Luckily I have some Wyeast #1028 London Ale in the fridge too that's in need of a brew :)

I'll just have a couple of kilos of DME on standby in case it all goes wrong...

Top stuff, Barry. 8)
I'm still in awe at how well these things work.
I hope you find the same.

I have a name at least - as its a home brewed Hobgoblin I shall call it "House-Elf Beer". Now, if only brewing it were so easy :)
