What to cook?

Post by hobbsy » Fri Nov 02, 2012 5:14 pm

Hello all,

I've been given permission to brew up tomorrow, but I'm not sure what to make. I've been experimenting a bit with my last 3/4 brews, but they haven't been very successful
I'm a sucker for anything big and hoppy, but I'd like to make something that everyone can enjoy over the crimbo period.

I've got -

5KG MO
400G Light crystal
800G Torrified Wheat
600G Roasted Barley
A little bit of Munich

Cascade
EK Goldings
Halertau
Saaz
Northdown
Bobek
Perle
Target
Challenger

The only yeast i've got ready to go is a White Labs 001. Can anyone make something from this little lot?

Do an SNPA clone using the MO, some Crystal and a little Wheat.

Bitter to 35 IBUs with Target/Challenger then just use the Cascade for Flavour and Aroma split something like 30/70

Lovely Beer if you have enough Cascade!

Mmmmmmnm Sierra nevada, I love that stuff. In fact I love it so much I've already made a batch. However it was only my 2nd brew and I ballsed up the priming and got nothing but a pint of hoppy foam. Don't suppose you've got a tried and tested recipe do you?

This is one that Mysterio from this forum created. Loads of people of have done it and say its good. I did it for my first AG and messed loads up and it still tasted great.

Cheers Matt, I that looks good. I don't have any Northern Brewer though, do you think it would work with perle or challenger?

I had a few too many honey dews at the pub last night  so the brew day has been postponed until tomorrow.
