Abbot Ale

Having a brewday tomorrow, and was thinking of doing Dave Line's Abbot Ale. One of the ingredients is 60g 'Roast Malt'. Not heard of this. What could I use instead?

I've got that book too, between that & GW they have most of my favourite commercial brews covered...

anyway: I'd go with black malt

looking at the GW book at similar recipes e.g. Landlord, Old Hooky, Jennings Cumberland Ale, they all use black malt; Gales HSB has 60g in a 25L batch so I reckon that's around the ball park

I brewed the David Line recipe years ago and used roast barley.
