Isn't Brewers Gold german now anyway?

Exactly as Northern Brewer, originally British hop, now grown mostly in Germany.

Has what I would describe as a distinctive 'rich' taste, not citrusy at all. Cracking beer I've brewed a clon(ish) myself and it was lovely.

Don't expect those American citrus flavours though. To be honest I'd avoid UK hops if you want that.
