Many breweries, Deuchars included, don't publish that detail, so it's up to us to interpret by taste. According to the BJCP guidelines, true-to-style English IPA has an IBU range of 40-60. However, most clone recipes for Deuchars peg it lower, say 30-33, which is why I crafted my recipe as I did. Feel free to increase, it'll taste great, but it'll likely be more bitter than the real deal.

Hide-out with my winnings in the Nottingham forest with a band of merry men, eh? Hmmm, sounds familiar.

Wait a tick! I'm the Kevin Costner in this scenario. Positions available include Little John, Will Scarlet, Much the Miller's Son, Friar Tuck, Maid Marian... I just hope you're not the Sheriff of Nottingham :)

Only bottled the leftovers from the corny, not tried them yet, but not bad from the keg, early days I suppose.

My Deuchars has had over 8 weeks cold conditioning, and I am really pleased with it. I'm up for a bottle swap if you want - might be interesting?
