Backing Nut for a beer tap

Hi Guys,

Would anyone know what size nut goes on the back of a beer tap (pub style tap) i have a tap but im missing the nut

Pretty sure it's 1/2 bsp , if you've got a spare nut of a plumbing fitting try one see if it fits !

Just checked , a nut from a 15mm compression fitting fits but won't pass through to clamp up on the back of the tap due to the shoulder on the nut.
Something like this would do the job nutter

Take your tap down with you and check to make sure it fits

I don't think they are all the same. Can you tell us make / model or link to tap you purchased?

I bought a Guinness tap that didn't come with a nut on the back. Not sure on the actual size but I found that the nut off an old kitchen sink tap was the same size.
