Cloudy wort in fv
Cloudy wort in fv
Hi all iv just finished a brew today my problem is my hop filter fell out of its place in the boiler so I had to tip the wort into the fv I caught all the hops so will the beer clear out as it ferments. Many thanks paddy.
Re: Cloudy wort in fv
Oh mention to say I used a fine collender when I transferred it to the fv cheers.
Re: Cloudy wort in fv
I did a couple like that when my hop filter clogged up on my previous setup. No perceivable difference in the beer taste or clarity.

It probably won't be the clearest beer you'll ever make, but yes, the process will deal amazingly well with what's happened.
Much of the debris could come to the top as the yeast rises and with care can be skimmed off although many feel you shouldn't risk contamination.
It happens.

It'll sort itself out. Break material in the FV is nothing to worry about.
Best wishes

I don't have a tap on my boiler, so always tip my wort through a sieve into the FV. My beers come out as clear as a bell.
