I did think about din rails but as you said, 8 pin sockets for the amp rating i'm after are hard to find.

Having either mislaid or never ordered enough Relays for the build, I`ve had to buy a few more Relays it was either go down the Farnell Finder route, get the same as the original ones I had ordered (seller away until mid Feb + shipping time etc [-X ) or I have found these on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230914934736? Which while not a piggy back din rail mount are at least Din Rail mountable so have once again changed the design of the build, but at least I can just mount a din rail for them in one place.

Finally got around to sorting out the connection blocks, now have room for 8 earth, 20 power and 20 neutrals, these Pheonix blocks have the built in jumpers. I will mount the whole lot on a longer DIN rail together with the relays and switches to produce what I hope will be a neat and tidy wiring job.

.......

I do have a few blocks left over, mainly singles, doubles, triples and a couple of 4`s (jumpers) which more than likely will be up for sale (UK5N)

I`ve got my panel mount sensor units today, but unfortunately the gaskets dont fit, the colour wire clamps do tho.

Another small update today, before rain stopped play, just fitted the trunking to the base board.

Abit like carpentry, a bad mitre looks worse than a good butt. ;)

To please [-o< TMH and due to feeling paranoid about the issue :D , I have now mitred the joints on the left hand side, the RHS will stay as it is due to the path of spiral wrap.

And before I get anymore remarks about mitres, dont forget to look at the barrel i made (wood is my prefered medium, all this plastic and copper is fiddly fopr large hands)

Half an hour later and the trunking is now finished (for the back board anyway)

A little more progress after a few hours of drilling, tapping etc the components on the back board are now fixed in place, just need wiring.

Next job fixing the tracking to the back of the door panel, more mitres :?:

I hope thats enough trunking, the one thing that has shocked me is the shear volume of wiring required in the panel im building, and i have less bells and what nots than yours.

good work tho

:D Like most DIY jobs its a bit of trial and error, I bought 2 type of trunking for the build both 25mm wide, 1 being 30mm height the other being 60mm height, following TMH advice / post I went for the open top option.

The plan (was) still is at the moment, until physical impossibility takes over, to use the 30mm stuff on the back panel & the back of the door. The larger 60mm stuff being used on the side walls to aid the spiral wrap movement.

The 60mm stuff looks and feels very OTT compared to the 30mm one, but only time will tell if I have made the right choice, if I havnt I`ll have to strip it out and replace everthing in the 60mm, not a large job as all the fixing holes are already drilled and the capping reusable, more of a PITA + more cost.

I know though I havnt bought enough wire for the job, I originally just bought the length needed for a replica Electric Brewery build. #-o

Fingers crossed with the trunking [-o<

A little more progress today, I`ve cut the track for the door panel. I`ve used both the single piece of 60mm track I had around the PIDS and used the rest of the 30mm track elsewhere.

Still not to sure if I will double sided sticky tape the track or glue it in place with either contact bond adhesive or no nails?

I've used conduit with that double-sided foam sticky tape on before; seemed to work very well for me and doesn't tend to have compatibility issues with the type of plastic or metal.

I've had mixed results with no-nails on smooth non-porous surfaces, especially some plastics, and impact adhesive is good but tends to get weaker at warmer temperatures - surprisingly low ones IIRC.

Cheers
