Hi there.
I just signed up because I want to ask a few questions about CRS which seems to be a popular mix of acids used in UK brewing. I'm working for Brewer's Friend for which I have written a an extensive water and mash chemistry calculator that does mash pH prediction based on the research I have been doing in that area (http://www.brewersfriend.com/mash-chemi ... alculator/)
I recently added support for CRS/AMS based on information I found on Murphy's site (http://www.murphyhomebrew.com/tech-sheets/tech_ams.pdf).
I could not find detailed information on the sulfate and chloride provided by Burpak's CRS and wonder if it has the same composition as AMS. Is there a generally accepted "recipe" for these acid mixes? are they all the same?
Thanks,
Kai

Only just seen this question and noticed that no one has responded so thought I would bump it to see if it will elicit some information for you. I can't help specifically but have a couple of suggestions on who you may look to to help with it. There are two members on here that might be able to help. Martin Brungard, who I'm sure you will have heard of, has incorporated CRS into his calculator so probably has the information you need. The other is crookedeyeboy who works for Murphy's and maybe able to help (within commercial confidentiality) with the AMS side of things.

Re: Question about CRS
I was always under the impression that Brupak's CRS was exactly the same as AMS. I believe Murphy only originally supplied breweries as opposed to home brewers, so Brupaks bought AMS in bulk and resold it as CRS.
