Fruity American pale

Won my first competition with this.
It got 38 points out of 50 at my local homebrew club.

It is really citrussy and fruity.
I would swap 200 grams of cara pils with a little darker cara malt, probably cara Munich, to get a little malt back bone.
0 minute addition is pumped through a HopRocket, and dry hopping is in the keg.

Hey dude,

That looks amazing! I watched youtube video on the hop rocket, is it as good as it looks? Do you only use it for a hop-back?

I built a new boiler recently and the amount of hops I used in my most recent brew blocked up the hop filter (It was a ball ache trying to unblock and aerate at the same time). I need to drill more/bigger holes I think!

I'm having a bit of trouble using beer smith, any tips or problems you have with it?

Well played in the comp! x

I think the HopRocket is a very nice piece of kit, but I brought mine home from US, so I got it a bit cheaper than we get them on this side of the pond.
It works really well on a brew day because it filters quite nicely. For me the biggest negative is that it does not take pellets, which means you have to get very fresh whole hops.

What are you having problems with re BeerSmith, I'll see if I can help you out.
I have used it for ~4 years and it performs very well and other than my recipes it handles all my stock.
