Nope, your notes are correct if Protz is anything to go by. My recipe is trying to bring the malty flavour in line with what I think the genuine article is. I had intended to go a little higher, but only had 760g of Crystal left.

It could be that I've overdone it with the Crystal in attempt to get the colour right and I may end up with more caramel than I can detect in the original. I'll gladly send you a bottle of both to try if they come close! :)

Well, that's very kind of you, but it's a little pricey to ship to the colonies. :) At the very least, I can't wait to hear how it turns out for you. Good luck!

I made a Mocha Porter (lots of chocolate and coffee malt), with all Progress hops, and it turned out great. I thought the hops gave some good warm spice to the beer.

That sounds amazing, "warm spice" is a good description, thanks for sharing. What is coffee malt? Also, might you be willing to share your recipe?

I've got a Progress rhizome on order, but it's looking less and less likely it'll arrive in time for a crop this year. Oh well, an investment in my delicious future.
