Never, mate. Never even noticed a drop off in quality, to be honest with ye.timbo41 wrote: Serving it your way,has it ever vinegared?
'Amazing', isn't it? I fly in the face of all this entrenched, handed down bullshit about what Must be what. And Nothing F**king Happens!!!
But, then; Just Listen to the bleating of the sheeple out there; " My air lock hasn't bubbled in an hour! Is my beer f**ked?! "

Drive ye f**king mad, don't they? Beholden to the last bit of nonsense they scanned over and stuck to, like shit to a blanket. Me? I've simply applied the teachings of Clem (

Well, its just getting better Ditch. A mature 7 month old batch made with spring water is the best stout I've ever had.

Lee; Seven months old and made with spring water?!?
If I was still living in Hull. I'd have crossed the Humber bridge by now. And would be treading, stoically, eastward!

Paddy; I'm on Coopers 'Old Dark', mate. Though, to be honest with ye, I'm yet to taste it at its best as I'm only now regaining the right temperature on my heaters. So, I've had a few of them already which I've known to have had a rough and high fermentation. Not as I'd have liked it done.
Not sure the 'rules' of the stout could or should be arbitrarily applied to this one anyway. Weren't worked out for it and this stuff's quite a different animal.

Oh! Not at all, mate. I didn't mean it that way. I was just musing. I do seriously doubt though that this ale can be as good, as raw, as the stout

Sensei did the coopers dark back when I first started playing. In much the same way as the.infamous stout but added a tin of golden syrup as well as dme. Two weeks and bit raw, four and amongst it.not.got.the.roasted taste but lovely all same. As is my wont called it abbo ale..a la.bit in Croc Dundee where Nev.the aborigine bimbles.off.into the bush and steps in something wet!! Cut from TV version now..PC gits

After reading all these pages, I definitely think I'll need to sort out a brew of this.
Southern Brewing
FV 1 (5 gallon): Nothing
FV 2 (5 gallon): Nothing
Commercial: More booze than some local pubs.

Timbo; I'm amongst the Dark as I type this. Bit too cold. Bit too young (F**king rich, coming from me, isn't it?!) But, no; It's still a cracking little pint. I'd drink this in a pub, where as I no longer even bother with Guinness. I drink lemonade, in town, now.
I like this stuff though. It's just not in the same league as the stout, to my tastes. But, I like it
