Humpty Dumpty Bad Egg recipe

Post by seymour » Fri Apr 26, 2013 10:23 pm

I was skimming through the Humpty Dumpty Brewery's website, and they mentioned publishing a story and homebrew recipe for their Bad Egg bitter in the Norfolk Nips.

I have the latest edition of Norfolk Nips here, which is celebrating the fact that the CAMRA AGM is being held in Norwich and whole City has gone real ale mad. Must be torture for an afficionado and advocate of real British beer like yourself to be on the wrong side of the "pond" at times like this. If you ever do find yourself this side try to time it for the Great British Beer Festival. You really will feel like you've died and gone to beer heaven

I know one of the brewers at Humpty Dumpty so if there is anything you would like to know.......!

p.s. That edition you linked to is 2009! Interesting recipe though and really good of them to give us the 5 gallon pilot recipe.
I am "The Little Red Brooster"

Fermenting:
Conditioning:
Drinking: Southwold Again,

Up Next: John Barleycorn (Barley Wine)
Planning: Winter drinking Beer

Sounds like it'll be an awesome time. You're right, I would definitely love to get there one day. I assume you're planning on going to the fest?

That's funny, I didn't even notice the date of the magazine. Apparently that bit's been on their website for a very long time. :) Do you like Humpty Dumpty's beers?

It's been awhile since I was last there (organised a double decker bus to take a pub load there) but if time allows I will go. As for Humpty Dumpty I was drinking a few in Norwich last Saturday and was very disappointed. Star of the show was Wolf Brewery's Granny Wouldn't Like It
