Grain Disposal - Green Recycling Bin
I don't have a compost heap so currently I'm just chucking my spent grains away in with the household rubbish which seems a shame, does anyone know if you can put them in the green recycling bins? They're supposed to be for 'garden waste'.

My council have green garden waste wheely bins. They state they will take "Vegetable & Raw fruit peelings" and also state they will take "Tea Bags".
They will not take "Cooked Food products".
Therefore I dispose of my mashed grains in my Wheely bin, as they were mashed probably a fair bit cooler temps than a tea bag (albeit a bit longer I know). But I dispose of my spent hops in normal household refuse, as by my rekoning, a 2 hour boil would constitute being well & truly cooked.
