I haven't used it myself, but have heard that its very clean tasting, which is what you want, but can take a while to clear.
I wouldn't bother using a true lager yeast unless you had temperature control for the fermentation and ideally a lagering period.

Remember to tell us how you get on as Kolsch yeast, WLP029 is on my (every-growing) to-do list.
