The WOW variant thread.

Post by Max_Headroom » Sun Jun 16, 2013 10:45 am

When i first started making kits (not that long ago) someone suggested i tried making a Wurzels Orange Wine (WOW) as a cheaper alternative, i found a video guide on the internet and made my first WOW but was not overly impressed with the result, i then started searching the internet for recipes and made notes of the ones i fancied trying.

WOW guide video part one - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpkXCowv2Y

Part two - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJQQdkS0JA

Below is a list of the ones i have found and i have tried most, this will save any new wine makers a lot of time searching for recipes.

Edit to add -

I always use youngs super wine yeast -

ingredients
Bentonite
Dried Wine Yeast
nutrient
Trace Vitamins
Trace Minerals

I also always add a teaspoon of Glycerene - Contributes 'fullness' or 'smoothness' when added to a wine.

If you have a favourite why not add it to the list.
