Been in the slow cooker all day, and made with a pint of 12 month conditioned Nog. Tastes bloody lovely!!

Dunno what happened to the pic??

Was just a pound of stewing beef (pre browned in a pan), veg and beef stock in a slow cooker with one pint of Nog, and a little water to top up. Six ish hours later done!

I've done something similar (although years ago),
a pound of stewing beef, i used a pint of Guiness original, and added some shallots,
i reckon some mushrooms would fit in the mix perfectly too.
it's bloody lovely ...

Try adding a couple of slice o black pudding to the GUINNESS stew it makes all the difference, just throw them in whole they soon melt down making a lovely rich sauce, my youngest son had three helpings when I first made it.
