For me it's on a par with Adnams as my favourite English Bitters. When I first got into Real Beer I was introduced to it in the Lamb Inn Eastbourne (built 1180). It was my first ever pint of real beer and I should have sank to my knees in grateful thanks. So it was this beer that started the journey. Eventually worked there during my A levels (probably not my best idea ever  ) ending up running the cellars before going to University. I still have family in Eastbourne and was there last weekend drinking it in the Ram Inn at Firle, a classic English pub in a glorious setting. Best pint of it I've ever had is in the pub just across the road from the brewery in Lewes, can't remember its name sadly but anyone in Town seek it out, great pub. I don't think it was the Tap though.

I would love to get hold of this yeast to see how close I could get but wouldn't want to try without it, feel the same way about Adnams.
I am "The Little Red Brooster"

I am still searching for that illusive Harvey's BB recipe..... Is this the closest and will Brewlab's Sussex1 be a good enough substitute? #-o
