After watching the film and drinking a few Hopfenweizens from Schneider, this is tomorrows brew.

An American Weizen in London :lol:

Original Gravity (OG): 1.056 (°P): 13.8
Final Gravity (FG): 1.014 (°P): 3.6
Alcohol (ABV): 5.50 %
Colour (SRM): 4.3 (EBC): 8.5
Bitterness (IBU): 35.4 (Average)

57.69% Pilsner
38.46% Wheat Malt
3.85% Caravienna

0.4 g/L Millennium (17% Alpha) @ 60 Minutes (Boil)
1.9 g/L Amarillo (10.9% Alpha) @ 5 Minutes (Boil)
1.9 g/L Cascade (7.7% Alpha) @ 5 Minutes (Boil)
1.2 g/L Amarillo (10.9% Alpha) @ 0 Minutes (Aroma)
1.2 g/L Cascade (7.7% Alpha) @ 0 Minutes (Aroma)
1.2 g/L Amarillo (10.9% Alpha) @ 7 Days (Dry Hop)
1.2 g/L Cascade (7.7% Alpha) @ 7 Days (Dry Hop)


Single step Infusion at 66°C for 60 Minutes. Boil for 60 Minutes

Fermented at 22°C with Safbrew WB-06

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Anyway brew done and dusted,all targets met.

I will be fermenting at 23/24 degrees to get the banana and not the clove.

Just kegged/bottled this today,tastes pretty good.
The Amarillo and Cascade play really well with the WB06 yeast,nothing dominates.Just a smooth blend of citrus and ripe banana.
I'm going to force carbonate the keg as I think this is ready to drink now.

Sure sounds good to me. I've been enjoying lots of hoppy wheat ales in recent years. Definitely a nice combination, not sure why it took us all so long to figure that out...
