I haven't brewed with F F, but back in 2012 I had a strongish (7%) wheat beer with them that was really good.
All grain or extract?

I'm just here for the beer.

I use a 100g in jamil's american amber which was very good. Using a separate hop probably magnum for bittering. Google it and your find a byo article with the recipe.

I've started using these in a couple of brews recently and although it's very early they seem promising I've gone for an pale ale style with 5kg Pale Malt, 250g torrified wheat and 150g medium crystal bittered to ~50ibu using 10g Apollo for the whole boil and then 30g FF at 15 mins, 30g at 10min and 30g at flame out followed by 60g dry hop for 1 week. This went into the corny last Friday and is sitting under pressure now and I'm trying to hold on until Friday to have a proper tasting session
It came out at 5.6% abv and I have high hopes for this one.
I've got a second batch which comes out of the Fv on Sat and will go into a pressure barrel that I didn't dry hop so I'll see which I prefer.

How was the Taste test?

Hey WA,
So far I'm preferring the version that didn't have the dry hop and went into the pressure barrel over the dry hopped corny kegged version. Surprisingly, there was greater hop/s flavour from the pressure barrel one but they are both good brews not overly citrusy but definitely with that type of flavour profile. The one in the corny is more bitter which seems to be taking away from the hop flavour at the moment so I've left that and will give it another try in a week or 2 to see how it's matured.
I like this hop combo a lot and as I've got another couple of hundred grams in the freezer i'd certainly use it again but perhaps remove the crystal and wheat and go with a very simple 100% light colour pale malt at 40-45 ibu and lots of late hop additions perhaps putting a hop sock in the keg as well. I could picture that going don't a treat on a nice warm summers day.
I'm well stocked in the hopped APA style at the moment so won't be brewing the next one for a couple of months though with the 2 above and a ahtanum/amarillo pale about to come out of the fv I think it'll be a Best or stout next on my list.
Cheer,
Grmski
