Cheers Roscoe - I do like the look of the Brewer's Hardware ones. Shipping is pretty steep, but if I get 3 the price works out pretty close to the plastic Agrtech ones (I'm assuming I can find someone to split an order with in this case).

The 35oC seems to be the issue with the pumps, otherwise the 3.5bar hozelock ones would be perfect. How important is it to CIP at a higher temperature than this? Most of my use of starsan is at room temperature, and PBW works ok for me at around this temperature...

The hozelock pump is coming back in the frame, sheer convience of a walk to b&q, try out cos' it's easy to take back, I like ss casing and I thinking many cheap pumps either don't quote proper specs for fluid and ambient temp, cant see me using >50oC for more than 10mins.

Otherwise, there is a range of 'pedrollo' & lowara pumps on ebay from some italian firm from budget stretching to budget busting, just need a phd in pump selection to figure it out. Looked at a few shower pumps but never did quite get both flow and pressure I wanted and the price drifted out of the bargain area.

FMJ the delivery on these pumps is 30-40 each but only 6 more for a 2nd ???

Sounds, like I should await your in depth review including running with 50c water ?

Still on the fence, managed to get this one down to 130 delivered, that goes up to 90c
It's a good deal imho, but a personal budget buster nevertheless!
Similar pump curve to the Stuart Turner RG550, without the SS shiny bits !

UK 41PNQA6PA1 Pedrollo PQA Pump with RYTON peripheral impeller PQAm60 0,50HP/0,3

of course there is a SS one that is teasing but out of reach money wise.

Problem is can't afford "strong pump + temp rating + made of stainless", no point buying a 35oC SS (unless very cheap) as seals will eventually go, not looking to use strong acid/alkali so I guess for me temperature rating wins out over shinny sanitary grade expensive ...... ho-hum can't have it all.
