coopers ipa

I have just started brewing this brand for the first time. Is it possible to put in the light dry malt (LDM) tomorrow as I forgot to get any. Can I leave it out? I live in a rural area of West Wales,I do'nt drive and the regular bus comes once a week. The nearest
large town is aprox. twenty miles so I have problems. Any answers please.
Q; Why was the IPA brewed only for the the lower ranks and not the officers of the British Army.

Put it in tomorrow but dissolve it first in some wort.
As far as I know officers drank gin!

I thought historically the enlisted soldiers were given a watered down version if the IPA which had been shipped to India, whilst commissioned officers enjoyed the full strength version?

You can add more fermentables pretty much anywhere in the process. Or you can leave it out although you'll end up with a different beer, not bad just different.

Pox on your bus service. :( And I thought the service where my brother lives was bad: no sunday service.
I'm just here for the beer.

.
You can certainly add it tomorrow. Your kit will be a better tasting beer if you don't leave it out, but if you haven't any other options then brew on :)

If you don't have the dried malt then either wait til you have or brew it short and add the dried malt later to the water needed to top up to the required level and mix well before adding. If it's too late, refer to the first reply, from wilf. :-)

Actually that is a faff. I would boil about a litre of water and add the malt extract to that before adding to the FV. It will give you an extra litre of slightly weaker beer.
