Bravo.

Re: Crates?
Well here's my rough and ready versions made 3 in total from 2 old pallets---- not pretty but does the job I want -and interlocks
----- now does anyone know how to make a chiller for them also out of old pallets.

When I have better wood available then i will probably do a better job
Any hints on a nice type of finish?
Cheers to the earlier OP for the designs

Re: Crates?
lovely job Wherryman, You found nicer pallets than mine! A little bit of me regrets not making mine 20 botttle crates like yours, but then I pick them up and I'm grateful mine are only 12's

Re: Crates?
Cheers Lordgroan, looking at yours and Bryanferry's made me think this is achievable even for a DIY numpty like me
Actually ended up sanding a lot of the surfaces down as they were splinter city at the time of assembly due to the rough timbers used in pallets. But now all I need is a few hints on getting a nice finish, also was the blackboard paints I saw on some painted directly on the woot or onto a plate that's fixed to the crates?
Cheers. WM13

I don't think you're going to be able to make these cost effective or single handedly produce enough to sell with swing tops as I suggested in your Wilkos threadWherryman13 wrote:Cheers Lordgroan, looking at yours and Bryanferry's made me think this is achievable even for a DIY numpty like me![]()

Re: Crates?
hi Cellone,
like your reply. It's an idea though
probably going to make some more this weekend if the weather holds
As I have more brewing and need to get more bottles

Hi All,
Came across this web site, they do a personalised crate. Thought I'd share, not quite the charm of the home made, but another option. Price not that bad compared with buying wood, £18.50 plus post.
