I chill my beers to 12C and they look like this

I honestly don't do anything you're not doing. The yeast in that beer was Nottingham and I used I isinglass (and auxilliary I think).

Time for an experiment, this is a half pint of Fledgling Bitter the keg has been chilled down to 7 C since Sunday and the beer is definately got lots more Haze than it had at a warmer temp, i am leaving this to come up to room temp (22 C) and will take another pic and post. Maybe then we will be able to see J_P's mug through it

Am I right in assuming that if it does get clearer as it warms up that I have a chill haze and I can cure in by cold conditioning like this for a couple fo weeks?

Here's exactly what I do...
1) Mash - I have a RIMS (you have a Herms) but I never had any clarity problems using a normal system. I mash for an hour. I generally don't treat the liquor except for pH (I used to use phosphoric acid but now use 5.2)
2) Boil for an hour. I use whirlfloc tablets - 1 tab per 20L
3) Cooling, I cool quickly (10 mins) but again doing it slower I never had any problems. I pitch fairly warm 20-25C.
4) I do not do a secondary I just leave the beer for a week in the primary after fermentation.
5) I rack straight to keg usually with 1/2 a pint of isinglass (diluted in water) and if I can be bothered some auxilliary (1/6 pint). The kegs are cleaned beforehand with antiformin and have a terminal rinse with peracetic.
6) In to the bar at 12C and tap after 3 weeks.

I bet he drinks it before it has a chance to warm up

If my beers are a little hazy I simply run them through my kidney filters that seems to take all the haze out.
Very methodical approach there Steve

The 'feck test' rules
Soon to be adopted as a brewing norm

Do you think we should get on to Marc and ask him to include it in any future book?

This is the same half pint at 21.8 C - clear! Passing the Feck Test IMO.
So i have chill haze.........how the Feck do i fix it? Is it just a case of cold conditioning?
