if you use a timer just make sure it handles the HLT current draw on power up most are rated at 10 amps so this should be ok!

timers are good as you do not need to wake and turn on 2 hrs before you start. Or in your case HLT should be ready when you get home .

that reminds me got to fill gas bottels.

now that would be a disaster to run out of gas.
thanks for the well wishing lads i will keep a level head .

JUST sitting in the brew shop at the moment going through my check list have had a few customers this morning tell you what since being a retailer of home brewing it is a mazing how many folks in my town brew but i never see them. i am the only brew shop for 250 km i am not expensive either. most folks in my town brew using a generic tin and a kilo of sugar. i just cant seem to get them to have a go with real ingrediants. My support seems to be comming from the surounding districts .

Good luck with the brew and the business Richard. Just being nosy , but what took you out to Oz in the first place?

I've never been myself, but my Mum spent a year working in Oz in the early sixties and she still talks about it! I get the impression that she might have stayed if she hadn't got a big family back in Blighty, and CB would never have been born! Or maybe we'd have Cairns Brewer instead!
