No kidding, that's gonna be pretty crazy!
I submitted an APA to a contest taking place next weekend. Though not quite as intense as yours, my batch used 85g Citra dry hops. Wish me luck! :)

Well, this is your thread, so I guess I'm not going too off-topic.

Here you go. I'm pretty proud of it. If I win, don't brew this commercially or you could get sued :)
I'm not counting on it though, I personally know some of the other competitors who are geniuses at APAs and A-IPAs.
SEYMOUR EL REY A.P.A.

My arrogantly named American Pale Ale brewed for the Alpha Brewing Co. Pale Ale contest, October 2014

3.5% = .33 lb = 150 g, UK CaraMalt (substitute Munich if you must)
3.5% = .33 lb = 150 g, CaraPils/Dextrine Malt

MASH at 148°F/64°C for 60 min

HOPS for 60 min boil
.5 oz = 14 g, El Dorado, First Wort Hops

.5 oz = 14 g, Hallertau, 15 min
3 oz = 85 g, Citra, dry-hopped post-fermentation for 1 week

YEAST
American Ale yeast, fermented at 64°F/18°C. Yes, you caught me using Chico. Shhhh!

Excellent!

Now, hops have been in 3 days (since Thu night), I had a sneaky sample and the hops arent blowing me away, it smells great however

I thinking of ordering another 50g pellets and adding them. Am I being too hasty and should I leave the dry hopping longer?

Thanks, WA. I came in 2nd Place. Timothy, another member round here, came in 3rd place.

That's it, I'll stop hijacking this thread. Sorry!

That's awesome, congratulations Monkeybrew and WalesAles! Which competition, which categories, which beers?

Seriously, Liverpool-Lad, do you want us to start a new thread? :)

Seymour,
No need to start a new thread, look in `Another Competition` on `Kit Brewing Questions and Answers` page.
