Just wondering, I have checked on both of my Brews, both in King Keg top taps, the Midas has been in about a fortnight and the Coopers IPA about a week, had a taste, much prefer the Coopers although I had a lot of issues with the Midas so it maybe slightly tainted. Both very cloudy but producing good heads.
Are we talking weeks or months??
How long does a brew take to clear?
In my experience the coopers came out of the primary pretty much clear but other kits I have done have not cleared after six or seven weeks.
Personally I'd leave your brews in the keg for an absolute minimum of three weeks before taking your first sneaky taste. I folded after three weeks with my first brew and have since found through extensive research (hic!) they taste far better the longer you can leave them.
I got through this period by brewing more than I could drink - I brewed a lot this spring! That way you have a big buffer of beer to prevent you from being tempted to try your newest brews!

how long did you leave them in the fermentor? I leave them for 10 days or so and they are normally fairly clear before they go in the barrel.
TTKK's take the top beer as well so I would have thought that should have been pretty clear by now. Is it just the sediment in the pipe? how much did you pour?

You cant be human, my current record prior to a first taste is about a week. Sure leave it in there for a month or so, but i like to see how they progress.J_P wrote: Personally I'd leave your brews in the keg for an absolute minimum of three weeks before taking your first sneaky taste.

Hi Chris,
I've also had Midas Touch conditioning in a KK top tap barrel for just over 2 weeks now. The temperaature in the room has fluctuated significantly over that period ranging from about 12°C upto 18°C
I tapped off a pint of it last Friday night to so how it was doing. I also found I had quite a lively beer (well carbonated) and also still cloudy. Mine tasted a little liquorishy - how does yours taste ?
