Followed DaaBs instructions, but added a John Bulls cider kit that has been in the garage foe months, 14 litres of Sainsburys 100% apple juice plus 600gms of brewing sugar took a reading 1.090 OMG WHAT have I created?
By the way. that is my favourite cider Westons 2 Litre 7.6% scrumpy in the foreground...love the little demi-johns they come in...£3.85 Sainsburys...will post more photos later.

I've just put together a similar brew: Young's Cider kit (£6.99 I think from Wilkos), 10 litres of Tesco cloudy apple juice, water to 23L, 800g brewing sugar to take it to ~7.5% and White Labs WLP775 English Cider yeast. 10 days and racked it into secondary, already tastes excellent :D Much tastier than any previous TC/kit cider i've made, putting it down to the spangly yeast. When it finally clears a little i'll stuff it into a barrel...ahh finally decent cider on tap, how very very dangerous

Nowhere near as mad as your 1.090 deathjuice tho! Aye carrumba that's going to come out at nearly 12%

Thumbs up on the Westons Extra Strong Scrumpy, I agree - by far the tastiest cider you can buy in the supermarket.

Going to let the misses try it first...give her a pint and tell her it is 7%, will see the effect on her before I dare try it

Ohh you evil sod, let us know how it goes  I've managed to mangle quite a few of my friends by feeding them bottled kit cider that's been maturing for a few months, they don't realise its 7-8% until they try to stand up to go to the loo...

If you want to make anything that even vaguely tastes like "real" cider it is a must :D

Aye, i'm beginning to beleive that :)
Got a demijohn of bog standard TC made with WLP775 that's almost ready to bottle, so will hopefully be readyish to drink before the barrel stuff finally clears and is ready... *looking forward to that :P *
