ebay blue mango barrels
If you search ebay for
Plastic Blue Barrel Screw Lids Holds 50 Ltrs
you get 50 litre mango barrels for six quid
plus five postage. Are these any use for
boilers?

I'm using one as a boiler, one as a fermenter and a 30l one as a mash tun... my brewery's name is 'blue barrel' lol

Thanks for all your replies and photos.
Re: ebay blue mango barrels
Bigdave, sounds daft, but how did you attach the snap on box lid to the barrel? I've got the same barrel and been looking for some kind of protection like this cheers

I cut 2 holes in the lid the same size as the element holes in the boiler thenpoked the elements through and used the nuts that seal the elements to hold it all together.. hope these pics help:

Re: ebay blue mango barrels
Got you, cheers. I use the cheap tesco kettle element so wouldn't be able to do it that way
