Thanks for the report and those pictures, it's looking really good and gives a great amount of pleasure.

Fullers? I don't know. The one that I used and thought of as Fullers is WLP002 and it doesn't act like that. Taste wise, the results so far have been rather too sweet, but think much of that problem is due to my lack of knowledge of how a beast of this kind should be controlled. Certainly the beers from the brewery were not sweet like mine. Unlike WLP002, it climbed out of the top and was none too keen to go back, confirmed by Woblylegs. I didn't expect this as when being cultured it behaved perfectly, perhaps in some ways like WLP002 in colour and appearance, but then thought we might need the riot squad when it got 23 litres to feed upon.

Great stuff.

i tried a bottle that i made with the yeast Eric provided from the cullercoats brewery. mind its only being bottled a week or so but i had to have one to see what it tasted like.
it had carbed up but its not very good taste wise. hope it improves allot over the next weeks lol as it certainly needs too! the trial jar sample i tried was very nice. maybe time will be kind to it.
lifes what you make it!

It should improve, mine did quite a bit during its second week, before that it was too sweet and didn't taste much like beer. Was that one made with Target? I'm no fan of those and am glad when they start to fade. I'm confident it will turn out fine.

Have you seen Seymour's pictures?

The one passed on last week needs only 48 hours in the cask to give a sneaky preview of its promise.

Next meeting April 27th for your diary. Negotiations ongoing with brewer/brewery to be arranged.
We need more attendees so that we can wipe the table in the quiz, only 8 pints won last time. Must do better and we can only do that with extra help.

OK - I'm just getting over a nasty cold bug, so I thought I'd wait until I can smell again before sampling them. :)

Matt has been quite reticent about the next event and was not in evidence tonight. None of the staff were able to give information of what might happen on Monday evening. I've concerns about the future of our event at this venue as a 50p per pint reduction on Monday evenings doesn't fit easily with success, compounded by seeing Jarl replacing Dark Star Hophead as a stardard on tap.

I'll be there on Monday come Hell or high water, hope you will too.
