Just tasted the first bottle of my first extract brew...
and holy crap did it taste good! I wasn't expecting much given that it's only been in the bottle for a week and in the fridge for 10 hours but I'm now sold on brewing this way!

Already am... Just wondering about the possibilities/costs of getting set up in the shed. 99% certain it'd be a no from the missus if I tried to keep all the gear in the house!

Caddarn how long does that gear take to get here from the states? ( All the prices are in dollah so I am assuming thats where they are?)
Nothing's forgotten, nothings EVER forgotten...
Re: Just tasted the first bottle of my first extract brew...
I didn't order from the states, sourced all the ingredients from UK online brew shops and my LHBS. Just found their recipes very easy to follow for someone just starting extract.

Which yeast did you use?
Re: Just tasted the first bottle of my first extract brew...
For the 80 shilling, nottingham ale yeast.
