The 2015 London and South East Craft Brewing Competition and Festival is now open for entries - Register here

Location - Trumans Brewery, The Eyrie, 2-3 Stour Road, Hackney Wick, London, E3 2NT
When - Saturday, 25th April, from 2pm for public access.

The London and South East Craft Brewing Competition and festival is a BCJP sanctioned competition where your beers are assessed by qualified judges against current style guidelines. Score sheets and written feedback will be provided on each entry. Rosettes, certificates and prizes will be awarded in each of 10 Category groupings and for Best of Show placings.

The beers are then made available to sample and discuss with fellow competitors and friends in a festival-type setting in the afternoon - providing a unique opportunity to sample hundreds of homebrews, arranged in their style groupings, with great and excellent examples of the styles flagged. A rare and excellent opportunity to compare your beers against others brewed to the same style, or just to explore the wide range of styles being made today.

We will have a great selection of prizes from homebrew shop vouchers to brew tours, crates of beer, vials of yeast and other brewers delights – usually extending to the top 3 in each of 10 categories, plus Best of Show.

If you are intending to enter you will need to do so immediately as my friend entered earlier and was entry 238 out of the 250 limit...

Don't forget that entries must be fully registered and PAID by midnight Sunday.
No further updates will be possible after this time.
We can then start the mammoth task of grouping into the various tables for judging and getting programs printed.
Due to the numbers we have decided to increase to 13 tables from the 10 in previous years.
This allows for better grouping and better chances of a placing.

This will be finalized once all the entries have been confirmed and paid.
Will try to post back later in the week when we have details.

One thing for sure is that due to the high number of entries for APA's and stouts these will be on their own tables.

Congratulations to all the winners
This was the busiest but most organised event we (LAB) have hosted and I'm sure that all those who attended would agree.

Due to the record number of entries it will take us a bit longer to get all the results collated and posted on the comp website.
All brewers will also receive copies of the judges feedback via email.

Thanks again to everyone who entered and all the fantastic sponsors which together made for a totally amazing day.
