NotAsSuch - I have dismantled said same kettle element to add to my boiler - how do you have it fixed up on the outside of your boiler? I'm a bit worried about those exposed wires in the wet environment that my brew-day brings... any chance of a pic to see how you've fixed it up?

Can't really help on the safety aspect...

... I pulled it straight out of the kettle and stuck it straight on the boiler.
Very irresponsible I know, but needless to say, the kettle element is the one
I disengage once I've reached a rolling boil.

I'm brewing with it again tomorrow.
May I say, it's been an absolute pleasure knowing you all. :D
