Just purchased a second corny keg and using it for the first time, both disconnects, that work fine with my original keg are very hard to connect and disconnect onto the keg ball locks.
They do connect but after a lot of forceful pushing, and the same to get off again.
Anyone have any clues what this could be down to?

A smear of keglube on the disconnect o-ring makes a big difference I've found. Perhaps the new keg o-rings are larger/harder than the other one.

Make sure you are putting them on the right way around.
They are very tight if you try and put the gas one on the beer post and visa versa.

If the lube don't work, then it's the orings are the wrong size as it will be still very hard to get them on and off. From what I found out, 3mm cross sec (cs) orings are to big and you can see this because the balls in the disconect cut into the orings.
you want 2.5mm cs, and 2.4 mm cs are to small for the gas side.
If you look at the imperial size fr the orings on the usa sites, then look at the conversion charts you will see any of these could be the right size.
It is a bit hard to measure orings as they have a slight + or - of the stated size. But you can get an idear with a v calliper. But like i said cuts from the balls in the discon is a sure sign.
I don't think your putting them on the wrong way round, cos if you did the liquid post is bigger and putting the gas on this would mean it would only come off by breaking it off. and the liquid on the gas would be a sloppy fit.
