Re: Group hop buy?
But what about postage. But having said this if you ordered enough then postage is only a small part.Brewedout wrote:I like the sound of this too, would be interested if ordered.Jocky wrote:Simply Hops has 10kg of Equinox (formerly Experimental 366) for £224.10. That's £2.24 per 100g for hops which are extremely hard to come by. The best price I have seen elsewhere is £5.80 for 100g.
And just another thing. Where is jack c based.

I've the price list and a quick look at what's avail although on mobile so will share a bit later today when back home.
Looks like everyone wants pellets and am ok with that. Prices are the same between pellets and flowers, between £10 and £18 a kilo, when buying 5kg at a time for USA hops.
Based in Hove (South coast).
Jarrylo is the only "new" American hop you don't need a contract to buy.
Update ya a bit later today with prices/varieties

Well how strange, or not so strange, I must have been drunk
But anyhow you should be able to move some at the BHB, as there were a few that were talking about a group buy. But it never really happened.
Anyhow here's to a beer or 5

This sounds like is going to a head ache to arrange...
I've uploaded the pdfs sent to me here : https://drive.google.com/folderview?id= ... sp=sharing . Hop price list - 2015 (updated 20.08.15).pdf is the one to look at.
I've put a publicly editable Google Spreadsheet here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... vunOs/edit. If you put your username, what hop(s) and quantities you want, we'll see if we can reach 5kg of a particular variety.
Shipping between 5kg and 25 kg to me is £11.25 (ex vat) and a 10m roll of vacuum sealer bags is £12.
If we can agree on an amount to buy, and between us are happy to cover the costs of postage to me, vacuum bags and postage from me to you, I'm game to split the hops and post them.
I wonder if this will work

Re: Group hop buy?
Umm that's intersting, it's gone very quiet.
I thought it would go to a very big wish list. But it still could. As that is a big list of hops
IMHO most peeps that have done/gone this way have just gambled by,,,buying what they want and then passed on the rest at cost-ish and postage.
Im still up for it, ie if I brought 5k of one type then passed the rest on at cost and postage or even swapped them a bit like I brought vic sec 500g for £13 posted. From someone on here. And As well as when simply hops had a sale. There were peeps swapping and peep that did not buy from SH and just brought 500g/1kg from those that did.
I could be wrong and there again. Someone may come along and prove me right or wrong.
And as a last option if you had some still sitting around, there's always ebay which you just add all the ebay fees on to the cost of the hops.. I think that's what some have already done, as I have got hops from someone that lives in tunbridgewells (just around the corner from SH.
well that's how I see it.

Take a look at the price list and add your username, choice and quantity to Google doc and we'll go from there.
I'm not gonna buy a load myself and hope to sell what I don't need, so this will only work if we all want some...
Going on how many people have added their name to the doc, I'm not holding out any hope of this working

Re: Group hop buy?
I've added my choices and would probably take some other varieties to fill gaps up to order levels...

Re: Group hop buy?
Ok, I've added mine. Anyone can let me know if they also wants some of these (Dr rudi) so we don't have to get 2 bails, ie happy to change a kg or 2 or 3
