Postal Strike Ruins Brewday - Ideas Needed
There is something satisfying about drinking a beer made to a recipe you've devised. I am currently sampling a sneaky 500ml bottle of my first AG beer "barefoot bitter" and it's amazing. So far this evening I have been drinking Coopers IPA which is the least "kit tasting" kit I've brewed so far however this is in a league of its own. If it was a little lighter and a bit stronger it would be a pretty good clone of Marstons Strong Pale Ale.SteveD wrote:The other sixty or so have been mine...ALL mine![]()
If you voted for the Orkney then yes!
I only suggested the Orkney as it was a beer I know and like and conformed to the dark beer / stout Wez was originally planning on making. Hey why not just go hog wild and throw anything into the mash tun (within reason) and see what you get?
I generally follow Marc Olloson's OG to IBU ratio and work the rest out myself.
