The best weapon against veggies has got to be bacon sarnies,it's been the undoing of many a veggie.
By the way do they consider the poor little flies they kill when they drive their cars. ;) ;)

QUOTE (Daft as a Brush @ Jun 6 2006, 02:21 PM)
The picture is my attempt at GFB, it was fined in the barrel using Beerclear, unfortunately, after 2 weeks (possibly more), there was little change, I thought-stuff it, its going in the corni anyway! This time I added issinglass. After a few days you can see from the right hand pic the beer has cleared nicely.

I had a similar thing with my last brew, spent ages in the secondary waiting for it to clear (Used issinglass) and like DAAB thought, stuff it, I've waited long enough and put it in the cornie and forced carbonated as usual....24 hrs later the beer was crystal clear (after the first pint)

Think the pressure/co2 must aid in clearing as well, by pushing it out of suspension??

While on the subject of finings:

I tried a sachet of gelatin for the first time disolved along with priming sugar into my king keg top tap on friday (4 days ago). Now I know its way to early to be sampling but I drew off a small glass and theres tiny bits of jellied beer floating about.. is this normal?? I'm hoping this will all float to the bottom over the next couple of weeks...

Mysterio, yes it does sink ( ;) ) to the bottom, but of course when you're drawing off the last pint or so a bit might come through. Obviously it's totally harmless, so I don't worry about it.

I know it's harmless but I'm not sure I like the idea of horse hooves in my beer!

I might move over to fish bladders instead...
