Hello Everyone,
I think my Brew is doomed! #-o
1020 after a week in FV, gave a gentle stir,
1020 3 days later, added another pack of yeast, Beer temp 19deg, raised trug heater to bring beer temp to 22deg,
today 1010 but beer looks awful, very cloudy, put the dry hops in anyway to see if I can salvage this crock of Sh$t! :D
Heater off and FV in the shed to chill down.
Bloody Brewing! :D :D

Having had time to test my ESB. It's at a clear 1.012 so maybe give it a little more time. To be honest I don't have access to my bottling equipment so I have to wait anyway.

Happy brewing

Ben.

Probably for the best though as (time to 'fess up  ) I cocked up my hop schedule on the day, by putting the late hops in with the bittering hops. I then had to add some EKG's I had lying around in place of the late hops to make sure I got a bit of aroma, so it's quite hoppy!

Filled 6 bottles as well, so might hand them out to the lads for comments. :)
Excellent confession, Jim.

How wonderful to know the creator of the recipe, the driving force behind this web site, makes the same silly mistakes we all do!

It was a doozy though, wasn't it!?

I was having one of those days - I kept knocking stuff over and spilling water as well.

Nice set of pics, MB. 8)

Wales, I bet you still drink it though!

Bottled mine yesterday.

Forgot to dry hop :(

Went in at 1.050 and came out at 1.014, so 4.73%. Got 43 bottles in total.

Sample tasted a little more bitter than I would like, but certainly within tolerance. Hoping it will mature nicely.

Five days in the bottle, just done a carbonation check

Murky as buggery, very, very hoppy with nice malt beneath it, carbonation isn't enough so I'll leave it in a warm place for another week, no head at all.

I think it won't hit its stride for another four weeks minimum, so should be good for the xmas holidays

Bottled and Mini kegged my eSB on Thursday evening.

Perfectly clear thanks to S-04, and tasting really good IMO. The Epic hops have given it a lovely citrus hop flavour :)

Good effort that man!

I bottled mine last week - tested one yesterday... not carbed up enough by a long way but the old syringe method got some head on it which lasted to the end of the glass.
I do like the caramel/toffee note I'm getting though on this one. Hop presence is good with a nice earthiness and the bitterness continues to mellow. Water treatment was spot on because mouthfeel is soft and velvety (unlike the occasions when I've run out of AMS and brewed anyway!).
I will brew this again but will play with hops because I think either citrus or blackcurrant notes would play well with this grist.

Cheers
Steve

Not checked the gravity yet but mine is still going, slowly but still going. Smells and tastes fine though so I'm not overly worried about it.

Never understood this syringe thing. If there is only minimal gas in the beer why would you want to whip the beer up to get the gas to form a head? Surely you're better off letting it run slowly into the glass to keep as much gas as possible in the beer?

Ho hum.
