Got this on the go, a brew that has resulted from a messed up order, in which a load of grains I attempted to order separately were all put into one bag! A big mad 8kg mixture. I'm making four small batches with it, 2kg in each one, cos I decided it could make some drinkable beer. Today I am doing a hoppy red ale, I've just added some roast barley. Gone for 60 IBUs, I want it bitter so it makes a statement! Centennial and Amarillo cos they work really well in a red ale. And my first time use of Wyeast 1728 Scottish ale yeast. I made a saison with the grain mix last week. A dark mild-ish ale and a random IPA, which will also use up whatever random European and American hops I want to get rid of, will follow soon.

Re: Random India Red
This looks interesting. Which grains did they manage to mix up ?
Re: Random India Red
All of them except the roast barley. It was partly my fault. The brew is in the fv, smells good, tastes promising (early days!). It should work out ok I reckon, the top 4 malts are all base malts and make up 87% of the total. And it's hopped pretty big. Fingers crossed.
