my original attempts at this were put on the back burner long ago, since then the one vessel version of the hack has been posted on git so started playing with that.

Only dry runs so far but it looks just the job, only tweak I made to the source was to include pump rests during mashing - hard coded at the minute which I think will work for me but not much more required to make it a menu item.

I recently built a STC-1000 plus based controller. I'm wondering if the A400_P is compatible with the dual probe firmware? The probe terminal has extra pin. I'm waiting for an additional probe and connectors to arrive and I'll have a go.

The A400_P is the only hardware version that is compatible with any of the hacked firmware, other versions of the STC use a different MCU

Well it worked, sort of. I missed the part about the 10k resistor. So I added a metal film resistor to the smd connections. Unfortunately I lifted one the tracks when de-soldering the connector. I managed to patch it up and it works but my confidence in this unit is gone :(. I'm waiting for some parts to finish BrewPi so my second stc is safe until my Grainfather warranty runs out ;).
